Reasons for insufficient oil supply of hydraulic pump of hydraulic press

When using a hydraulic press, sometimes it will lead to insufficient oil supply, but usually, the main reason for insufficient oil supply in the hydraulic system is that excess air enters the hydraulic pump oil of the hydraulic press. If the oil does not flow into the suction port quickly, cavitation will be generated at the suction port of the oil pump, which will make the action of the hydraulic actuator of the hydraulic press unstable, and the phenomenon of crawling will occur.

In order to avoid insufficient oil supply from the hydraulic pump of the hydraulic press, air should be prevented from entering the hydraulic system of the hydraulic press. The countermeasures to prevent air from invading the hydraulic system of the hydraulic press are as follows:

1. Carry out neat work on the seals connected to all the oil inlet pipes to ensure that there is no leakage at the connection positions of all oil inlet pipes. In order to ensure good sealing performance, all pipe joints must be tightened. The plunger oil pump must have a good sealing device.

2. Try to make the oil suction hose control the liquid flow speed of the oil suction port. For the oil suction hose, the oil flow rate of the small hydraulic press usually does not exceed 5m/s, so as to prevent the pressure at each point of the oil suction pipe from being lower than the atmospheric pressure and become a vacuum. At the same time, control the height of the oil level in the oil tank. Usually, the vertical distance between the lowest oil level in the oil tank and the oil suction port should be less than 0.5m. As long as the hydraulic system of the hydraulic press allows, the height of the oil level in the oil tank is higher than the oil suction port of the oil pump, and the end of the oil return pipe of the hydraulic system is always below the oil level, so as to avoid the generation of air bubbles.

3. Regularly check and clean the oil filter of the hydraulic press equipment to prevent the oil filter from being blocked. Otherwise, air will easily enter the oil pump, which may cause hydraulic cavitation.

4. A large amount of air bubbles in the hydraulic oil tank should be removed immediately. When there is a large amount of air in the oil, the pipe joint at the outlet of the plunger pump can be loosened to discharge the air in the oil pump. The speed adjustment is required when the hydraulic oil cylinder is installed, and the speed adjustment should be carried out according to the circuit, which mainly refers to the hydraulic system that drives a mechanical mechanism. When debugging a circuit, the other circuits should be closed, that is, the oil is not smooth. When adjusting the speed of the hydraulic press, the clearance of the guide rail, the position accuracy of the hydraulic cylinder and the moving parts must be adjusted at the same time, so as to avoid the transmission parts being stuck or too tight.

If air enters the hydraulic cylinder of the hydraulic press, the speed will become unstable, so open the hydraulic cylinder of the hydraulic press during adjustment, and do not open the valve to completely remove the air accumulated in the hydraulic cylinder. For the hydraulic cylinder of the hydraulic press without an exhaust valve, be sure to make the hydraulic cylinder reciprocate several times, loosen the oil pipe joint with the oil chamber, loosen it until the oil overflows from the threaded connection position, and then fasten the oil pipe joint.

In the process of speed regulation of the hydraulic cylinder of the hydraulic press, the buffer device must be adjusted at the same time until the requirements of the mechanism stability of the hydraulic cylinder are met. For example, when the buffer device of the hydraulic cylinder of the hydraulic press is not adjustable, the hydraulic cylinder must be removed, and the adjustment of the installation machine shall be carried out after the adjustment on the test bench is qualified. Make sure that there is no leakage at the connection of all inlet pipes of the hydraulic press; in order to ensure good sealing, the plunger pump that must tighten all pipe joints requires a tight sealing device.
